At present, we supply two distinct types of gateways, each providing the same functionalities concerning the operation and management of your locks. However, there are key differences in their connectivity and power sources.

The G3 gateway makes use of an Ethernet power connection, allowing it to connect directly to your router. Conversely, the G2 gateway employs a type-C USB power interface, which enables it to connect to a power source such as a mains power supply or power strip.

The decision of choosing the appropriate gateway largely depends on the location of the gateway, the position of the router and the placement of the Bluetooth lock(s). The most effective operation of these gateways is achieved when they have an open and clear line of sight with the router and the lock, free from any obstructions such as dense walls or windows. It is also advisable not to mount or place the gateways on metallic surfaces, as it can impede the signal transmission between the gateway and the Bluetooth locks.

For properties equipped with a large number of Bluetooth locks, it might be beneficial to distribute several gateways throughout the premises. This strategy ensures a robust gateway connection, which in turn facilitates the effective use of the gateway's remote control feature.
